So you're telling me for this truck there are 4 parts for the modules:
Small SR Module
Normal SR Module
Small ER Module
Normal ER Module
I'd love to know how the battery module exchange program that FMC is running works. I suspect they have a shop somewhere that is rebuilding the packs, taking...
No definitely not, as others have pointed out the rear lights and actual tailgate are different. I have considered building strip of some kind very similar to the front lightbar, but red that matches the PRO/XLT tail light accent light stripe. FMC wants like 3k for that rear light bar and best...
Not yet anyone willing to pay the price for sure; I have a question for you: do the SR and ER packs fit in the same housing? I originally though that all the modules were the same the SR's just had 6 (no double stack) and the ERs had 9, but I recently learned (one of my modules had to be...
Yea I can't count the # of times I'd have fired a software engineer if I was in charge of the BEV engineering team. It's obvious that FMC is struggling with software engineers and specifically modern tech UI engineers. They better bring their A team for the next generation of Lightning b/c if...
This is maddening, Why FMC, Whyyyyyyyyy. You could've programmed this so much better in so many ways. Even given the owner selectable temp if there really is feedback. I'm sure the feedback is closed loop through the SCCM. The APIM just tells it on/off via CAN message. It blows my mind why...
I'm curious what your reduced power limit was wile driving it 60mi,, was it 25%? Also, anyone else on here has a batter module failure, please comment what your reduced power limit was while the DTC was set.
So I recently had a MachE loaner for 3 weeks while my truck was getting a battery module replaced. I have a XLT SR EG311A so no heated steering wheel or seats. I'm curious from those out there with the heated wheel in the Lightning, does it work like the MachE seemed to? I've considered...
This is crazy. I bought my Lightning 250mi away b/c that's all I could find. My local dealership has done over 20 module replacements, 2 in a friend's truck, one in mine and I've seen 3 Lightnings there at once before in service. They are EV rockstars IMO, so I can't even imagine a dealer...
As others have said here, it's way to early for batteries to be available to the public. All lightnings that I'm aware of are still under warranty and I suspect 25% of them have had battery modules replaced. The dealers can't even order batteries or modules without going through a special BEV...
Yea, don't worry about this. I've been driving mind for the first time in negative temps in Oklahoma and I'm seeing that FMC actually over estimated the power limit versus what the battery can deliver at super cold temps. I've had my truck sitting overnight, not plugged in, not preconditioned...
I agree with this, or I would investigate FORScan to try and find if it is a parameter that is reachable for you. Putting in the buttons is also the only visible mark, the truck has the feature. I believe it definitely adds value to the truck. I have used those buttons to look through the...
Darn it, I have a friend @ Bryn Mawr who could've ran over and taken pics today, but I called them and they already have it fixed and back together. Thanks for posting, it almost worked out.
Your close, but I think you might need to go a bit lower. Right now at multiple dealers in Tulsa this truck has an MSRP of upper 50's, pair that with a few thousand of incentives and the $7500 tax credit and I can't see how anyone would pay over 50 for this. But, again, you're close.
Curious...
There is a Shell in Longview right in the middle of your trip. Be prepared to pay 55c/kWhr, but it will be faster than any Tesla charger that will ever open up for you. So if you have a place to charge L2 in Houston you'll want to plan your trip carefully. This is one thing that will never...
Yea, the knowledge and courtesy we're talking about here is similar to when diesel owners get pissed that a little gasser is sitting in one of the 2 out of 12 pumps that offers both diesel and gas. It's common courtesy to utilize the resource that is most appropriate for you at the time...
Reduced power is common for low battery charge and/or temp. It's reduced power due to a BECM DTC that is the issue here. I'd love for someone else to confirm that it used to reduce to 3%, then in some particular BECM firmware update they changed it to 25%.
This is partially true, people like me who like #'s and data would've been better about prying info out of the dealers and Ford if we didn't have these types of online platforms to vent/gather data. For instance the dealer my truck is at in Tulsa is one of the larger Ford dealers in the city...
