I have 230 V outlets in the bed and in the cab, but the APIM says its max 2.3 kw.

This is in the modded Norwegian trucks. Did Ford pull out the 2.3 kW unit and rebranded the 7.2 kW one to 2.3 kW and called it a day?

Or do the 2.3 kW unit deliver 230 V as well?

Based on what you show I would say you have only the smaller inverter adjusted to 230 volts at 10 amps for 2.3 KW.

Probably a full delete of the 7.2 inverter.

I've always been curious as what the options were. The North American versions are 120/240v 60hz while Norway would have 230v 50hz.
Did they have a full 9,6kw PPO in Norway? Are they completely different units or just programmed differently?

Can I check it on the truck somehow? Read the model number or size, ports?

What does the outlet in the bed look like? Can you post a picture?

It looks like you have just a version of the single 2 kW inverter modified to output 230V. In the North American versions with 9.6 kW ProPower there are two inverters, one a 120V, 20A and the second a split phase 240V, 30A inverter. It doesn’t look like they offer the larger inverter for the European version. There are NA trucks with only the 2.4 kW and the bed outlets are shared with the cab and frunk outlets and it looks like you have the Euro version of that configuration.

230v yes, but still only 2.4 Kw
Looks like you have only one inverter providing 10A x 230V = 2.3kW

They are 'nominal' numbers.

In the USA we have a 2.4kW inverter providing 20A x 120V and I know this sounds strange, but either they just didn't change the numbers in the display to 2.3kW from the USA 2.4kW or your 230V outlet actually provides 240V.

These voltages are nominal, that is, the voltage provided by a utility may vary by up to 10%, so in the USA it could be anywhere from 216V to 264V, although usually it is between 228V and 252V.

I haven't checked the voltages from our truck inverters but they are probably closer to the actual 240V and 120V specified since they do not have the things that affect utility voltages, like load variations on the system, transformer variations, etc.

Thanks for all the inputs!

Next I need to get the frunk outlets back. There is 230 V in the cable behind the door.

This is very interesting. I'm right in the middle of helping the DIY community add the 7.2kW inverter to Lightnings.

I'd like to grab the configuration from your inverter for comparison. Do you have FORScan? I'll instruct you on how to get this.

OK, after you connect there is a "modules" tab at the top. Find your DCACA module and copy the details in text. Also note if you have any other DCAC modules, A, B, C???,, and note if you have a module named GFM3 which is what the 7.2kW 240V split phase inverter is called in the US.

Once we know more here about the part #'s and firmware we'll see if pulling the configuration will be helpful?
