  1. Pro Power reserve limit fails

I had it happen with the truck OFF and PPOB ON, but the OP had the truck ON when it happened.
  2. Pro Power reserve limit fails

I had the 240V outlet running the house (about 1kw) but nothing on the 120V frunk outlets when it shut off suddenly.. I have a 2023 Pro, and the OP has a 2023 MY as well as @I <3 My Lightning Maybe it is a 2023MY issue?
  3. 7.2kW Inverter - Pro Power Onboard 9.6kW - Technical

The inverter that powers the front outlets (2.4kW) is not synchronized with the bed inverter (7.2kW) so they cannot be combined unless you run them through some kind of a synchronizing system. The 240V bed outlets provide a split phase output. The front outlets are not in synch with either of...
  4. IRS Auditing Me for Taking EV Tax Credit

Um...why bother having any government support for businesses at all? I think the idea was we don't want all those farmers and big company employees, etc. to lose their jobs and starve to death. It would be a cold cruel world if we had strict 'economic Darwinism' aka 'Laissex Faire' economics...
  5. Ford App 6.11.0 Released (iOS & Android)

Thanks. BTW...see this thread about a PPOB reserve problem! https://www.f150lightningforum.com/forum/threads/pro-power-reserve-limit-fails.35984/ It is affecting my truck and @dmd3home the OP. We both have 2023 MY and it worked fine before some recent up date. One of these two updates...
  6. Pro Power reserve limit fails

Funny story: I had my tail gate open at the time which seems to have been the issue. I cleared it and it hasn't come back. The next time I opened FORscan to make one more tweak, the DTC was gone. I didn't do the alignment process for trailer assist though I have that on my to do list. It...
  7. Pro Power reserve limit fails

DANG! %$@)*$^%#@*(%#@+! I didn't try mine after changing the reserve to nearest station, alas. I guess I will have to test that. It really is a big annoyance. So far I have not had an actual outage where I need the backup, but hurricane season is approaching and sometimes a remnant makes...
  8. IRS Auditing Me for Taking EV Tax Credit

No, Elon fired them all. But the tax credit was the target of fraudsters, which is why I got two letters from the IRS about the tax credit I assigned to the dealership saying to verify it and contact them if it was fraud back in 2024 before I even filed my return.
  9. IRS Auditing Me for Taking EV Tax Credit

LOL. Too late, the billionaires already got the money! How about the business tax deduction (100%) for gas guzzlers if they weigh more than 6,000 lbs. (Section 179)? "We have the best politicians money can buy!" (Will Rogers) and oil, gas, automaker, etc. lobbyists know it! Who writes the tax...
  10. IRS Auditing Me for Taking EV Tax Credit

Agreed. It was no fun having ID Theft back in 2007, a lot of back and forth with the IRS because it was kind of a new thing. Their first letter to us was kind of vague and I had to call to see what happened. We owed and paid a heck of a lot of taxes that year due to a buy out my wife's employer...
  11. IRS Auditing Me for Taking EV Tax Credit

There was a lot of confusion in 2023-24 about the dealership IRS portal, the up-front transfer to the dealership, etc. It was a lot simpler in 2012 when I took the credit for my 2012 Nissan Leaf (bought in 2011). I lost some of the credit due to the income/liability test back then.
  12. just bought an OBDlinkMX+ scanner

See this thread for more info: https://www.f150lightningforum.com/forum/threads/f150-lightning-forscan-thread-version-2.23634/
  13. just bought an OBDlinkMX+ scanner

The FORscan home page has approved OBD devices, and the FORscan thread also mentions ones that work with it. Supported adapters : OBDLink EX USB, recommended USB adapter for Windows version of FORScan, also for configuration and programming functions OBDLink MX+ BT, recommended Bluetooth...
  14. just bought an OBDlinkMX+ scanner

Old Murphy and his laws just keep nagging at my brain, so I always do anything I can to avoid them!
  15. IRS Auditing Me for Taking EV Tax Credit

There were quite a few snags and posts about them on the forum. The dealerships were given short notice about how to handle it, I think it wasn't until Nov 2023 that the IRS portal opened up and dealerships had to register. My dealership was still trying to figure it all out when I bought in...
  16. just bought an OBDlinkMX+ scanner

Thanks for clarifying that point. I know it is not 'required,' but it is recommended in some posts I've seen if the vehicle is going to be sitting in ACC mode for a long time. I think I would advise having one for a couple of reasons: 1) the pathetic 12v battery system we have on the...
  17. just bought an OBDlinkMX+ scanner

PS: I think FORscan now has dropped support for some 'mobile' device versions and recommends a windows laptop for example, so your chromebook might not suffice.
  18. just bought an OBDlinkMX+ scanner

Note: The FORscan program might tell you your OBD device is not compatible and the changes may not work (or words to that effect) unless yours is one of the ones they mention on their web site. It told me that about mine, but the changes worked. If you do any FORscan changes, check the forum...
  19. IRS Auditing Me for Taking EV Tax Credit

Now if only we could get out of the oil industry tax payer subsidies bull crap!
