  1. ECU module programming guide using FDRS

Did you notice any change by setting the 2nd octet on 744-23-02 744-23-02 xx01-xx— My OEM is 00 there
  2. ECU module programming guide using FDRS

FYI - Here are my OEM values for DSM I just changed the 23-01 1st octet from 01 to 00. The rest I left untouched. Did the trick with auto power board deployment on approach, but as I mentined above, the activation of the USB hub and sync unit inside the truck (without opening the door) does...
  3. ECU module programming guide using FDRS

My problem with these “Welcome Lights” is that every time I approach the truck with my keys in my pocket, apart from activating the external lights, it also activates the USB ports as well as the APIM/SYNC screen inside the truck that stays on for 10 minutes before shutting it off (just like you...
  4. ECU module programming guide using FDRS

I think for Approach Detection Power Running Boards it is enough to set the ADPRBOC flag to 0 (or DISABLE). OEM value is 1 (or ENABLE). 744-23-01 -> 00xx-xxxx-xx-- Works just fine for my '22 F-150 Platinum PowerBoost. The lights lit up when approaching the truck but the power running boards...
  5. Did we Break it (ECU programming thread)

Looks like database issue on the forum side. @Administrator can you please look into this ? The ForSCAN thread is down as well
  6. 2021+ F-150 FORScan List / Database / Spreadsheet ?

I can confirm, the PACM needs to be disconnected for it to stop “beeping” when backing up. Setting the IPC in ForScan merely disables the DTC and error message on IPC when the module is disconnected. I just tested it today
  7. ECU module programming guide using FDRS

Whatever they do, looks illegal to me. You guys want to go this route, feel free to do it privately, but I would kindly ask to keep such stuff out of this public thread
  8. ECU module programming guide using FDRS

Yes, it is. My truck is a brand new 2022 F-150 model and I see the same in my APIM info as well
  9. ECU module programming guide using FDRS

I can answer this question with quite of a certainty: Once your USB update is successful, your truck writes back a file to your insterted flash drive named 1FTFWxxxxxxxxxxxx_vil.json, and your SYNC screen instructs you to take your USB flash drive and insert it back to your laptop, I would...
  10. ECU module programming guide using FDRS

You should be fine with Nano here as FDRS merely uses it to read the module state and certain configuration parameters to initiate the flashboot procedure. Then it will be used to create the USB update flash drive. You should be good to go here!
  11. ECU module programming guide using FDRS

@Whoskyle not sure what you have ordered, but aparently you don’t need ethernet adapter and cable. See my updated post here for details. Please DM me once you attempted the repair
  12. ECU module programming guide using FDRS

You are not risking anyrhing with Nano as long as you stay away from FDRS Network Scan and/or CCM module update. If you need to create USB update flash drive for modules such as APIM, TCU or GWM, Nano will work just as good as the Mongoose interface
  13. ECU module programming guide using FDRS

After clarifying certain things in this TSB with Jesse, you don’t need the ethernet cable or adapter. You will need USB mini adapter and USB A to A cable with FDRS and your Mongoose cable connected to ODB2 port. I have updated my previous post with details.
  14. ECU module programming guide using FDRS

I can’t wait for your test results tomorrow, especially if successful, I would want to update the guide with exact steps to follow. So please make sure you document each step FDRS instructs you to do
  15. ECU module programming guide using FDRS

Nope, this is just a “fastboot” procedure to kick your APIM out of the failed 1.7.1 OTA purgatory. Once done, you need to proceed normally with FDRS and Mongoose cable to update your APIM. If you have a USB flash drive with your APIM update ready, you don’t need FDRS to kick off your update...
  16. ECU module programming guide using FDRS

NOTICE: Ford has recently released a TSB 22-2117 that addresses the stuck APIM update issue cause by the failed 1.7.1 OTA. I am attaching this TSB to this post. Anyone willing to test it out ? Apparently, all you needs is FDRS, an USB mini adapter (something like this), an USB A to A male cable...
  17. ECU module programming guide using FDRS

Try restarting your computer and try "GWM Module Configuration" option under the GWM module section.
  18. ECU module programming guide using FDRS

Folks, finally I got my truck back from the dealer and I had a chance to test out my Mongoose cable. All went flawlessly, no corruption during network scan, and what I noticed, that the Network Scan runs much faster than using the VCX Nano. I want to also point out, that I did not run any...
  19. ECU module programming guide using FDRS

Technically yes, any device supporting J2534-2 protocol should work
  20. ECU module programming guide using FDRS
