I recently upgraded my home network equipment to Ubiquiti. Digging through data I find that the truck connects twice to my home network. Once from Ford and once from Sync. They each have their own MAC address. I only expected one.

I've never activated the ATT Wifi connection in the truck - is that likely the other one even though I don't pay, nor have the wifi connectivity in the truck?

I think it may use your phones network connection when it's connected.

Yes the truck connects to our home WiFi with two different MAC addresses, with the same "SYNC" hostnames, manufacturer shows as Ford & Hunter Industries as per Ubiquiti with the latter likely a misidentification, and disconnects at different times as well.

One connection is the APIM (Sync), one is the TCU. The TCU connects more because it is providing Ford with information.
