I ordered a 2021 Platinum in mid-December. Supposedly it will be at my dealer in February. (I personally think this is over optimistic by the dealer, but that’s beside the point).

My question relates to the factory ordered hard top. Has any one seen detailed pictures or a video on this. My searches have not come up with anything.

I currently have the Bakflip on my ‘16 Platinum and really like that cover. Hopefully the factory hard cover has similar functionality.

TIA.

From past investigations by members here, it was determined they are Bakflip covers. I know I like mine also, been on 3 of my last F150s now.

Actually, it has been determined that they switched the "factory" hard tri-fold to the Extang Solid fold this year, rather than the Bak. There is a thread about it but I don't remember under what name.

Any issues with highway speeds and being flipped all the way up since it does not go all the way to the glass? Are the support rods better than backflip?
Zero issues with it, and the support rods seem just as good. The Armor is made by the same parent company as BAK, it's just a better lid with a far better line-x top coating for better and longer lasting protection

I *highly* recommend you look at the :

UNDERCOVER ArmorFlex Hard Folding Truck Bed Tonneau Cover | AX22030 | Fits 2021 Ford F-150 6' 7" Bed (78.9")

It's soooooooooo much better than the BAK and it's about ~100 more. Totally worth it. My link is for my 6'7 bed, but of course they have it for the 5'
i have had a n undercover lux for years and never had any leaking issues because it is a 1 piece hard cover. I am intrigued by the armorflex but am concerned with it leaking. Do you have any experience with it.? I am also concerned about the longevity of the seals As I tend to keep my trucks for a long time

I don’t know if this is “factory”, but I had my dealership add this to my truck when I purchased last weekend as part of the negotiated deal. It’s Ford branded and seems really solid. Time will tell.

Thanks for the pictures! Yes, based on what you’ve shown, I’d be more than happy with that. (I’d also be happy with taking possession of my new truck, but that’s a different issue).

Have a great evening.
