By replacing my LVB this week I gained 20 miles once I charged to 100% on my HVB; so I know the information I used from this Forum has helped, and I now keep my LVB on a Tender. I have a 2024 XLT. I find the Forum interesting and helpful. Some of us enjoy the idea that we are maximizing battery life. We know from our local battery expert what degrades it the most. We know that the BMS works to balance cells only at the top 99-100% SOC. So yeah, drive and charge it how you want, it's your truck. But IF you want to eek out an extra bit of life, the *tips* help. They don't even cost anything. Charge frequently, top balance once in a while, try not to go below 20% when possible. I would add avoid extreme heat but that's a lot harder to manage, especially for those of us in hot climates.
Personally, I'm not sacrificing anything by doing this and who knows...I might get an extra 10 battery cycles of life from it. No, I'll never know for sure but it's fun to think about it.
