Hi all.

Last week, I was in the truck and parking. All of a sudden I received the error below on the screen after the cameras flickered:

Ford F-150 Lightning 360 Cameras no longer working IMG_1363

After which the reverse camera stopped working along with the rest of the cameras. Parking sensors continue to work. The camera button is no longer working as shown below.

I went into FORScan and saw the the 360 camera was set to disabled. I re-enabled it and the cameras all started working,

24-hours later the cameras stopped working. Reverse camera works and thats the only one. Hitting the camera button on the screen yields nothing.

I went back into FORScan and started getting the following DTC error:

Code: B12BF - Right Front Camera

Additional Fault Symptom :)11):
- Circuit Short To Ground

Status (-2B):
- DTC Present at Time of Request
- Malfunction Indicator Lamp is Off for this DTC

Module: Image Processing Module A

I've checked all the fuses - they are good. Re-seated all the wires near the driver side where the IPMA is but no luck.

Does anyone have any suggestions before I take this to the dealer? Last time this happened, they changed the entire wiring harness and the cameras (2 years ago as it was part of an accident claim). I hope that is not the case given the '23 Lariat ER that I drive is no longer under standard warranty. I do have extended iBEV warranty through FORD.

Any help would be greatly appreciated - TIA.

Next step, (if you want to go down that rabbit hole) would be FDRS for in depth diagnostics of the systems as a dealer tech would do. Need a laptop and a cable (Mongoose Pro) comes to mind. I have my own VCMII for such things. You'll find the free software and license info ($50/3 days drop down menu) I think, and $26 for 3 days of workshop manual, wiring diagrams and such, might be two days but anyway all of that if you think you can follow flow charts, read a dvom, wiring diagram, things that make these magnificent machines tick. Info on the latter over at Motorcraft Service.

Thanks @RLXXI. Appreciate the insight. I was hoping someone may have seen this error before. Can't find much on the interwebs for this short issue. I've reseated all the cables and checked them near the IPMA without success. Not sure if it's near one of the cameras. Stupid that a short can knock out 6 cameras. Whats interesting is that the hitch camera doesnt work either (reverse works). Isn't that the same as the reverse cam but looking down? I have a feeling my IPMA may be shot. I am going to reach out to the dealer and see if they can get me an appointment which is a PITA and see if this will be covered under warranty. That mongoose cable seems quite expensive but it has been something I've been thinking of doing for some time. Tired of taking it to the dealer to updates/etc... I have a workshop manual but lack of time.

Any of the front cameras with an error like that will cause all the cameras to not work. You can disconnect the right camera pretty easy.. the connection is behind the upper corner trim.

FDRS wont help any more than Forscan. You have a bad camera OR a bad coax. But you can get a camera fairly inexpensively. Start with disconnecting the passenger side cam first.

You obviously have more experience with this particular system than I do but wouldn't the work shop manual and the pinpoint tests there in coordinated with test results obtained via FDRS find this issue?

Good info to know about the front cams whacking the whole system, filed that one in the back of my mind.

I did disconnect the camera and tried without success (removed the coax). Any other thoughts?

Should I have cleared the DTC before proceeding to test if things start working again?

I wanted to give an update. Thank you to @Jesse-Infotainment and his guidance. I disconnected the right camera coax from the pillar and my cameras are back and working. So it looks like there is an issue with either the coax cable or the camera. I didn't have much time to test this morning however when I get home I will take apart the right side view mirror and see what's happening with the camera/cable. I did have to replace this side view mirror 4 months ago and maybe water or something got in and corroded the connection.

But I am happy to get all except 1 camera working. Already a win.

Thanks again.

Last update hopefully. Looks like I have managed to fix it. I took apart the sideview mirror and cleaned all the contacts with alcohol and the camera(s) are working again. I am hoping it stays working. Thanks guys for the assistance.
