With all manufactures having apps and connecting them to your car what happens when you sell them or trade them in. I sold my Hyundia Kona EV over two months ago locally here in NY and I still get notifications that power has been left on, panic button pressed and that is now in Minnesota at a Hyundia dealership.
I still have EA charging credit from Hyundia on my EA account that I never used completely. Does EA know or care if use them on a Ford?

You should have reset the car to factory before turning it over to the buyer. You likely have no charging credits, the car does.

Gotcha. But the charging credits I got from my Hyundai are still in my personal EA account.

I have no idea how EA and Hyundai work together. Ford puts the free EA hours in FordPass, EA doesn't know you exist. According to the Hyundai site, you out in your VIN when setting up the account, therfore it may not work without that car.

Yep, you needed the VIN and a promo code which you then entered into the EA app, that in turn added the 250 kwh to my EA account. I guess the only way to know is to try a charge at an EA charger.

I would go into it expecting it to fail, but you won't know until you have charged some and see where they get the hours from.

Same deal with my Audi e-tron. I still had about 500 EA credits when I traded it in for my Lightning. I had a 400 mile drive home and I used my Audi credits to pay for charging.

It’s too late now, and I don’t know how Hyundais work but I did a factory reset of the infotainment system in my Audi before I handed it off to the Ford dealer. That disassociated my Audi account from the car.
