Backup Key Slot Location

Where do you place the backup key in case your fob dies? I've looked under the cup holders and I see a slot there but it doesn't seem like that's the right place.

Where do you place the backup key in case your fob does? I've looked under the cup holders and I see a slot there but it doesn't seem like that's the right place.

That is exactly the place to restart this truck when the fob battery dies. Under one of the cup holder's rubber bottom pads.

The key only opens the door. The entire FOB slides into the opening under the cup holder I believe.
