Has anyone removed the Bed/Box? You know, to install a flat deck or some other kind of box. Is there anything special about these beds or are the identical to install/removal of an ICE'r?

Yeah I saw this somewhere else as well.

To the OP's question: removing the rear cargo bed / box is likely pretty much the same as on the ICE truck as far as I can see... but per the document posted right above, that action would likely expose now-protected vulnerable points of the EV harness during the new modded bed installation, unless the exact same bolt types are used for mounting the replacement bed in the same exact pattern using the same exact bolt fixtures on the main rails.

And the replacement bed should have the same (or larger) horizontal area coverage of the rails and their adjacent areas to continue the EV harness protection, I guess.

Yes, it would be unadvisable to drill into the high-voltage cable by accident!?‍?

If you do go through a bed removal, deenergization per the Ford service manual is advisable.

Are the bolts accessible from the top of the bed or the bottom? I am getting the bed repaired after an accident, and the body shop alluded to maybe having to disconnect the bed to get better paint access to the cab/bed space. I ask as I have a bed liner and need to know if that needs to come out or not.

Ran across this video not too long ago. Don't go into details of exactly what they had to do though.

Looking at the wsm, remove rear bumper, a few connectors, and all it is 6 bolts straight thru from the top just like ice, 4 people to lift it off. Easier than ice actually as there's no filler pipe to deal with.

Camera and the sensors for that system in the bumper will need recalibrating.
