I’m just posting to see if anyone else has had the same problem I’m experiencing now. On October 30 I was rear ended. Very minor damage both vehicles able to drive after exchanging info. Called insurance, received an estimate from body shop of $1500. Was about to schedule but I asked if being an electric truck would that be a problem. After being put on hold I was advised they would not be able to repair my truck. The shop is not qualified to work on electric vehicles. After going through the list the insurance company gave me I found out that there is no body shop in the Las Vegas valley that will repair my truck. I left waiting for a Ford dealership that does collision to call me back.

We were rear ended about a month ago. I contacted her insurance, Farmers, they established file and wanted me to go their estimator 2 hours away. After some discussion they said a virtual estimate was possible taking photos. About 5 days later I received their estimate of $6400. I searched for Ford Certified Body shops and discovered a Ford Dealer on the list 2 hours away in Portland. I called and sent the virtual estimate and scheduled a visit a week later. They looked it over, noted some damage not included in the original estimate and was confident we would not pay anything for repairs, and said it would take 2 weeks, because he already ordered the parts based on the original photos. There was another damaged Lightning on their lot. They are finishing it this week, and will bill Farmers the additional $800.

Damage was rear bumper, one tail light, rear quarter panel of the bed, misc brackets and braces. The tail light was about 20% of the parts cost.

Stay with a Ford Certified Body Shop, only one Ford dealer in Portland was on that list.
