Hey @Ford, although I spent three days wiring the panels and Manual Transfer Switch (MTS) to work with the truck before delivery, I had not yet tested it. Last night the power went out, and I plugged an extension cord from the 30A PP port into the generator port, turned off the mains supply to the MTS, flipped the "utility/generator" switch and it worked!
I did run in to a few issues that are easily resolved if Ford were to give us a "Power" mode, or "Advanced Accessory" or even just add this functionality to "Accessory mode".
1. Having to "Start" the truck; Even though I swear I disabled the timeout in the Pro Power sub-menu, it seems a global one kicked in and turned off the power after about an hour. I found the menu setting for it (can't recall where) and no more timeout. This should be a default in a "Power" mode.
2. Another issue related to "starting" the truck; Even though I switched the lights off initially, as it is a soft switch, the "Auto headlights" menu setting turned them on again after I had to restart, due to the above timeout. This should be a default in a "Power" mode.
3. Could not turn off the screen, only found "Calm" mode. Should timeout and turn off with a "Power" mode.
4. With no grid power at the main panel, backed the truck up to the house to plug in PP from the bed. I also ran the FCSP cable down the driveway and plugged it in. The truck screen said "No charge station found", and when the grid came back up, the truck choked and I had to
re-enable charge from the charge sub-menu (or could have just re-plugged it?).
All in all it worked well, but Well Pump and Microwave draw need to be managed to prevent tripping a breaker. Now if I could only use my solar panel to charge the truck (once the snow melted)...
