Waiting for my next roof replacement to get solar put up. Might just have the roofers do the mounting system and DIY the rest. Just want to use it for back up power and charging EVs.
The cost to fill my truck when the sun doesn’t shine (that only happens in the winter) is 131 kWh * $0.035/kWh = $4.59

I was at a charger/gas station last week, in the middle of nowhere. Electrify America charged me $0.42/kWh and the Chevron was charging its customers $8.20 to $8.70 per gallon. And 75% of the gas station’s refueling nozzles were offline. 100% of EA’s refueling plugs were online.
