Dealer issue installing brake controller

Long Story short… I had a 2022 lariat. One of the original releases. Truck was totaled (rip?). I purchased a 2024 lariat and noticed after the fact, that the new truck didn’t have a brake controller . (Who makes a truck with no brake controller??). Anyways, before they took my old truck away. I took off its brake controller and installed it on my new truck. Took it to the dealer to finish the computer setup, and they have been failing to get this to work. They installed a different modem, didn’t work. Now they are saying the controller from my old truck may be the problem?

Anyone went through all this? There has to be a solution. Man I miss my old truck. Ford really took a lot away from the original build Lightning.

You have to replace not only the pincher but the black module under the dash. THe black module in the truck is a dummy module. Place holder. There are several threads on this forum about this.

Update****. I had my dealer install ML3Z19H332AB modular and controller kit and I can officially say it all works as it should.

Tried to get my dealer to install on a 2025 Lightning Lariat and they refused. Says it shows not supported. At this point I trust the people in this forum more than them. Any ideas?

Yes, sir… The exact one you told me earlier. They refused to install. Said it was not from my truck. I’m gonna go to a dealer down the road and they said they would install. I’ll let the group know.
