Drivers mirror mods?

I'm not satisfied with the field of view of the driver's side rear view mirror on my truck. It seems no matter where I point it, there's somewhere I want to be able to see, and can't. Mostly because of the missing triangle of glass in the bottom right corner of the mirror due to it's shape.

It seems some F150s have a factory solution that looks like this:

It looks like you'd lose the blind spot warning light, but I think that an actual line of sight on the thing its warning me about would be better. Anybody have opinions on these? Are they good? How hard do you think it would be to swap in just the glass and inset? (I don't want to mess with the cameras and whatnot)

How about a cheap stick-on blind spot mirror? Save your BLIS and a lot of hassle. There are smaller version of this one if it covers up the light:

I am definitely considering a stick-on, but the OEM one is heated and I live in New England. So I'd like to have that feature if I can.

I was wondering if anyone has found a good solution since this thread was started.

I have a 2023 F-150 Lightning Lariat, and honestly the driver’s side mirror is my biggest complaint about the truck. The field of view is extremely limited, and I find it very difficult to see vehicles alongside me. Compared to European cars, the mirror feels much less informative.

For now, I’ve installed a small blind spot mirror. It certainly helps, and I can finally see cars approaching from behind in the adjacent lane, but it’s still not a solution I’m really happy with.

I would much prefer a factory-looking replacement mirror glass with a wider field of view while keeping the original heated mirror and BLIS indicator.

Has anyone managed to find such a solution? Maybe a different mirror glass, a custom manufacturer, or something from an RHD conversion company?

I picked this set up to use when pulling my travel trailer. They work well and look almost factory from the front and side. It does not interfere with the BLIS, 360 camera, or the zone lighting. I picked them up on sale for around $45 over the holidays last year.

I put a stick on convex on the outer lower corner of both mirrors. I actually tried three different mirrors before I was happy. I ended up with this 2.5 inch on both sides: https://a.co/d/031QCXKf
I have put a convex mirror on both sides of every vehicle I have owned. In the past, I have put the convex on the outer upper corner, but did not want to cover the Blind Spot indicator.
