I've been using it! It codes as 10% back through plug and charge and all the charging apps I've used. The cash back is available immediately. I just have to remember to reload the account before charging.

I'm honestly surprised I don't hear more about it. I can't imagine how this is sustainable long-term so I'm enjoying the rewards while it exists.

It's a debit card. I think the balance actually earns 4.1% APY, but I don't want to keep a large balance with a FinTech. Transfers in have been instant for me from my bank debit card.

As noted above, multiple payment cards now specifically earn bonus rewards on EV charging, and there's also a wave of products from smaller companies that are promising the same:

• The U.S. Bank Altitude® Go Visa Signature® Card earns 2 points per $1 at EV charging stations.
• The U.S. Bank Altitude® Connect Visa Signature® Card earns 4 points per $1 at EV charging stations (up to $1,000 in spending each quarter).

There are also new cards offering other eco-friendly benefits.

As for whether these kinds of cards are the right fit for you? That will likely depend on a variety of factors, including how often you use EV charging stations.

But keep in mind that if EV charging does (or might soon) represent a big part of your budget, you could also opt for a more general rewards card that earns a high flat rate on everything you buy. The Wells Fargo Active Cash® Card, for instance, earns 2% cash back on all purchases, EV charging included.

Definitely do understand your concern. I did my research, this question I asked was just the only thing I couldn’t find answers for.

Tried via the app. Takes me to the same website in Columbia asking me to upload a government issued ID - alloysdk.alloy.co

I've been using it for almost a year now. So far I've received $155 in cash back on $2100 in transactions (~$1100 in EV charging and the rest miscellaneous). Initially they were only giving 5% back on EV charging, then it went to 10%. For the last few months they've also been giving 5% cash back on grocery store purchases. No issues so far.

I'm also enjoying it while it lasts. Before Future I was using Bluedot. Their benefits were insane, and obviously not sustainable. My favorite was their monthly free charge day. If you happened to be road tripping when that hit, you could really cash in. On one free charging day I got $50+ worth of free charging!
