Might give some clues about the forthcoming EREV F-150 Lightning. Be sure to watch the embedded YouTube video. Unlike the new Lightning, Ford is offering this one as a pure BEV and EREV In the Chinese market. Why can’t we have options like this here in the USA?

It just goes to.show how out of touch the majority of american truck owners are. I say truck because to the vast american truck market, they have no idea how much better ev is. They think it is not workable in their day to day but a little planning makes all the difference . Loads are easy to figure out.

Totally agree. I love my Lightning; it's my favorite vehicle of any that I've owned. It's just a shame that they killed it in its current form. Who knows - maybe it'll come back as a battery only option one day, but this one is a gut punch to all of us who evangelized the Ford EV platform for years.

I suspect the BEV Lightning will return in a few years when batteries become cheaper and more powerful. Except for towing range, the current Lightning is far better than any other F-150 on the market, but for now it adds too much cost and too much weight to have the range most truck owners want.
