I got mine delivered today. 15 days since bringing the truck home. I’ve had the installer company assigned by Qmerit, and they’ve even come by to take a look. Still no official quote though.

Bought the truck 6/19, got the FCSP after about 2 weeks, still waiting for install. 1st contractor they contacted wanted to charge me over $1,300. I declined so they assigned a different one that came in as promised at $0.00. It is after all considered complimentary for basic installation.

Haven't needed it as the dealer filled it up on delivery, drove it 715 miles around town, checked out some local charging infrastructure and used the 240v cable in my dryer outlet overnight once. Still have 79% from that charge so I'm not really in a hurry for it.

Ok, thanks. I guess another week or so.

They installed my Ford charging station 7 days after I took the truck home. I didn't pay anything, not even the town permit.

2001 FORD RANGER, 2023 F-150 LIGHTNING
I bought mine new-in-box on eBay, it arrived within a week - $600.
The install took me 6 months - had a vacation planned for 8 weeks.
Then I had to figure out how I was going to run the wire and how much I needed going through the attic, the crawl space, or outside the perimeter of my house.
Assuming the worst case, I ordered 100ft of the wires and conduit - of course I was able to find a shorter path and had a lot of left over wire - such is a DIY project.

Ford F-150 Lightning Ford EVSE delivery timeframe 00-wire path measurements

I ordered wire from Nassau Electric Supply, flexible conduit from Amazon, and misc. stuff picked up at Home Depot and/or Lowes (100A breaker, conduit straps, etc.).

To get the wires through the conduit, I laid the wire and conduit (1" non-metallic liquid tight flexible conduit) out across my back yard, used a vacuum cleaner to pull a wad of paper towel with wire pulling rope tied to it through the flex conduit - easy peasy. Then tied the pulling rope (Southwire QWIKline POLY LINE) to the wires (2x#3AWG and 1x#6AWG THHN THWN-2) , and as I tugged at one end, my wife slathered on wire pulling lube (Ideal Clear Glide) on to the wire - much easier than I thought it would be.

Getting it up into the attic was a chore - pulled it up foot by foot through a ceiling access panel in my garage to the attic. Then I fed the 6 or so feet needed down to reach the FCSP on the garage wall, and routed the rest over to a location above the basement room that had the Eaton 200A service panel with the brand new 240V 100A breaker for the FCSP, then down to the room and over to the panel. My house is a split-level so the vertical distances are 5 to 6 feet.

I already had a mounting board on the garage wall that I had used for the GE Watt Station I bought for my 2012 Nissan Leaf in 2011, so mounting the FCSP next to it was easy enough following the instructions in the install guide.

Fully tested and working fine at both my 48A max limit (SR battery) and 80A (with the ER Lightning of a nearby forum member).

Sweat equity pays off sometimes.

The only issue I had was the FCSP set up app was buggy - it took a while to figure out that I had to use 2.4GHZ wifi signal, have the phone/table and the FCSP connected to the same signal, and try and try again (be patient) to connect it to the wifi, using the reset button a few times, as well as several power off and on's with the breaker. This forum was more helpful than the F customer service help line (though she tried) finally setting it up.

Then the very last step of adding the FCSP to FordPass would error out.

No big deal, the FCSP allowed me to charge the truck without FordPass through the truck menu.

Finally, in early 2025 there was an update to the software and firmware of the FCSP that allowed me to finally get through that last step.

Such is software.
