Ford PCO Offer

Hey Everyone,

I have a PCO available for $1,000 off. There is no specific language that the lightning is excluded on this one. HOWEVER the fine print states the following....

CUSTOMERS: Please present this certificate at your Local Ford Store to redeem offer. Residency Restrictions apply. Offer valid on new eligible vehicles. Some restrictions may apply. Not available on Mustang Shelby GT350 & Bullit, Ford GT, Bronco and F-150 Raptor. Transferrable within household. Limit one per customer. For all offers, take new retail delivery from an authorized Ford Dealers stock by 1/2/23. See dealer for complete details and eligibility.

Note: My dealer did not take it when I purchased my lightning. I had already put the order in prior to getting the PCO from the mets game and it does state "New retail delivery". But hey could be worth a shot.

Just a guess but the "authorized from dealer stock" is going to make this not work with ordered lightnings and probably not with mannequins either.

Yeah this only works on stock inventory and only at dealers willing to participate. There’s always little incentives like this, sometimes they work, sometimes not. For the Lightning or other customer ordered vehicles it’s typical for the pricing to be agreed on at the time of order. Some slimy dealerships like to alter the deal later — as we’ve seen a rash of due to the demand for EVs, and new vehicles in general.

If the PCO doesn't exclude the Lightning, then if your truck arrives before the expiration date, you should be able to use it. "Should" is the key word. Even if it doesn't specifically exclude the Lightning in the wording, it's all up to the Smart Vincent system. If that won't allow it to be applied, then it won't work.

A PCO can be locked in to a customer order and be valid after the expiration date, but it must have been issued before the order was put into the system, before it expires. Because you received the PCO after you ordered the truck it's not locked in.
