After I bought my Lightning from the dealer I saw the Left side cowl was offset from center a little. I at the time thought it was normal, never having owned a F150 before… After a few months I realized that it’s not and the cowl itself was bent on inspection. I still have the Ford Certified Blue Used Warranty, but not sure if it covers this. Gonna drop it off at the dealer in a few days to see if they can bend it back or if they need to replace it. It’s not the only thing it’s going to the dealer for - also going to request full module updates and to evaluate the vibration at 40-48mph accelerating (another thread pointed to struts, wheel balance and module updates..)
Does anyone know if the F150 Lightning cowls are the exact same as the Cowls on an ICE F150? I may try to fix it myself before I bring it in.
The part number I got from an online manual shows part number:
NL3Z-15022A68-AB
When I search it shows the OEM from Ford being over $200 for just the left cowl. Other replacements online show both the left and right for the ICE F150 for a little over $100. Now trying to figure if they are interchangeable.
Does anyone know?
