I just want to give a shout out to Raceway Ford in Riverside, California, for handling a cell failure in my battery pack in my 2023 Pro SR at 64K miles. These guys take EVs seriously. In particular, my service advisor - Craig - was pro-active in keeping me informed and addressing my rental car costs when a part delivery screw-up delayed the repair work.

Speaking of my rental car - an ICE Toyota - I have never been more happy to return the keys. I now LOVE my Lightning more than ever, after being reminded what a crappy experience it is to drive a gas-powered vehicle.

One other thing: When the truck failed, it did so gracefully. I wasn't immobilized - in fact, I needed to drive it over 80 miles to the dealership - it simply reduced power (to 53%) and wouldn't let me charge. That is good engineering, and Ford deserves some credit for that.

Thanks Ralph. I think I have read their name before as recommended. My closest dealer (2 miles away) seems to be OK for EV service. The current Service Manager at least gave that impression. So far the only service I have needed is the GSM replacement, Ball Joint nut recall, and a 10K service (all done the same day). Unlike the service, the sales people as far as I could tell were VERY anti-EV.
