Hood protector - Aeroskin vs Aeroskin II - Lightning

Hi Eveyone,

Has anyone installed the Hood Protector - Aeroskin II from Ford with the lip and noticed any change in their range vs the Aeroskin I?

I just picked up a ML3Z-16C900-A from the dealer but I don't think it fits a 23 Lightning. Uses screws and clips so I think it's for a regular 150. Does the Ford dealer supplied just stick on?
This was my second attempt to get one, parts dept screwed that up to but I was a 01/23 early adopter

It’s been over two years since I put that on and I don’t still have the paperwork to say for sure.

Ford.Parts says it fits most MY24 F150.

So I guess you pays your money and take your chances. Or you might go into the service/parts department and see what they tell you.

I have the aeroskin 2, but I put it on with ~200 miles on the truck so I can’t speak to the “range hit”. Doubt it’s much.

I have the ford branded aeroskin. Fits nice, I like the look, hasn’t affected range 1 bit.
Would recommend.

I’m not a big fan of the look of them, but if you want to protect your front / hood area go for ppf. Can’t tell it’s there and protects the front from rock chips.
