Today I went from full screen nav to audio and I received a screen for onboard scales and that it wasn't available because I was of course driving. Stopped driving and received a settings screen for on board scales, but as everyone can see I am on the audio tab.

Got home and shut everything down. Got out locked, waited some time, opened the door, started the truck back up. Everything seemed back to normal as the audio tab was correct. Went to Nav screen and back to audio and once again on board scales settings reappeared.

Now if you are still reading, my Oct build '23 ER 312A XLT didn't come with the onboard scales. Maybe it's like those weather tech commercials and Ford sneakily tracked my truck and then added on board scales...

I have been reading about 12V resets lately and my attitude is really this is what we have to deal with as an ev owner? I will never have to do that... Now getting closer to having to try that but will try a sync system reset first.

No clue why this is occuring. Maybe it's my hint that the BCM based frunk update is coming this week...

My 23 XLT 311A has never done this. Definitely a weird one. I can't remember if 311A was ever able to get bed scales though (maybe with towing options).

Update: Truck sat overnight and it was still occuring in the morning. A Sync reset took care of it.

@Ford Motor Company

The glitch, (in the matrix), keeps coming back. Last update on my '23 Oct build XLT ER 312A was the
FHCM-24.AC.AD.

By happenstance it is when returning from work, I have the music playing, I switch to Navigation, make it full screen, go to the tools, open traffic, click on more, watch as it updates the live traffic and maps, x out of the larger traffic window to return it to a small list window. At any time after this if I go back to audio, it shows the on board scales settings.

When tapping on any of the settings, only the toggle for passenger and cargo reminder and measurement unit does something. The toggle just shows a state of on or off and the measurement unit takes me to the feature tab and shows the following.... And there is nothing under the features tab for measurement units or bed scales when I go to a different tab and go back to the features tab.

Have you been dabbling in the dark arts of Forscan?
Never. I'm to afraid. Even though I wish I could get the steering wheel heat much hotter.

All updates but one has been OTA. The front parking sensor csp was completed by the dealership during the yearly state inspection. I even asked them back then if they could turn up the steering wheel heat and they said that was not something they could access with their equipment based on the VIN. But the tech was cool enough to say well there is an after market forscan system that would allow the change... I just live with it

For now the holding down of the power button next track/seek for 10 seconds to cause a reboot takes care of it.

Well then, I suggest you study up and get some Forscan into your life.
