Ever since I took delivery of my truck on July 12th I have had four separate 360 camera failure events.
Each time the camera opens, displays and then immediately flips to black. After ten seconds it says something to the extent of, "Service camera system, please call dealer."
First failure was July 14th fresh after bed liner and the dealer thought it was related to that due to possibly hearing a plug click.
Second failure was August 17th, couldn't bring it in with the issue. Took it in Monday and the dealer didn't touch the truck Monday-Fri. I took it Friday night due to needing to move stuff on Saturday. Ultimately opted to keep the truck due to the dealer admitting they did not know what to do.
Third failure was September 16th. Was able to bring the truck in exhibiting the failure. Dealer was able to run a diagnosis with engineering on the truck and determined that the main wiring harness had a coax cable that was shorting out. Due to that they replaced the entire interior wiring harness.
Fourth failure was October 21st. Same codes and same symptoms. Out of the blue, camera failure. Dealer came back and said that engineering did not have enough data to proceed until it happens again. I pushed back and after the weekend they told me that they think it is a bad IPMA but that engineering believes it is a bad APIM. At this point engineering opened a buyback case and I am still waiting for the APIM to arrive.
Anyone else have a similar issue?
