I wouldn't take Meta's fate as an example of where AI is headed in general. The market richly rewarded Microsoft, Amazon, and Google, the world's leading cloud providers, on their recent earnings reports indicating AI demand is translating into cloud revenue growth and that customers are willing to pay for AI infrastructure and services. Meta is suffering because investors feel what the F--- is Meta doing and how will it make money out of its spending?! Although the dot.com bubble burst, the economic and social landscape of the world was profoundly changed by its occurrence. Whether AI is a bubble or a new industrial revolution remains to be seen. The blacksmiths of the world won't lay down their hammers and tongs without an intense struggle. And it may end up being another area like solar and EVs where China ends up leaving the U.S. in the dust, by hook or by crook.

Be cautious, Cloud and AI are not the same thing. Yes, AI does often use Cloud, but cloud itself is not AI.

With Amazon making a few billion a year it only makes sense others will enter the market. I know that for my app I would have had a LOT more difficult of a time than just popping it into a cloud container
