Hello all from the land of 10,000+ lakes! Just purchased a ‘22 Platinum with 82k miles on it. First EV ever, having upgraded from my first and only hybrid, a 2021 Venza. Great car, but need to be able to do more and I’m adventurous in trying something new!

Just a couple dings and scratches, but overall in great shape.

One thing I didn’t check was the lights before purchasing. The front passenger surround (?) DRL bar is not lighting up. The driver side is working fine. Is this a normal issue? Do I just check the fuse panel?

Hello everyone. Just purchased a 2023 F150 Lightning Lariat Azure Gray with 37,000 kilometers on it. Drove it home to Ontario from Alberta immediately after purchase so that was a great way to get to know the truck. It performed flawlessly and is a great highway cruiser. This is my first EV (and my first truck) and charging was mostly painless. We were able to charge almost exclusively using Tesla Chargers except for Sudbury (flo charger) and Innisfil (Shell station). The ease of plug and charge with the Tesla chargers was a breeze. The longer cables on the Tesla V4 superchargers made it much easier unfortunately only one stop had those. We were able to time the charging stops with breakfast, lunch, and dinner breaks so that worked well for us.

The ease of plug and charge with the Tesla chargers was a breeze.

Yes, it's a breeze, but you pay for it. If you are going to charge more than once at any Tesla SuperCharger during a month, it pays to buy the Tesla membership for $12.99 (U.S. Dollar price and plus sales tax in some locations). That way you get Tesla price rather than non-Tesla price. The difference can be substantial. For example my last Tesla charge session was 44 cents / KWH with the membership vs 62 cents / KWH without it. On a 69 KWH charge session, I saved $13.57 on that one session. If you do this, you MUST activate the charge session using the Tesla app BEFORE plugging in the cable to your truck. I am currently ahead by $136.65 by getting the Tesla membership whenever I will be making use of it. Note, you can buy the membership at any time, and cancel it any time before it expires (so you don't forget), and still get the Tesla price for the remainder of the month. For example, my current Tesla membership was bought on 8 July and expires on 8 Aug. I have used it twice and am ahead by $3.70 for this month. It will auto-renew unless cancelled. I set a calendar reminder to cancel it a couple days prior to renewal. If I know I will be using it again, I will either let it auto-renew of cancel it and buy it again whenever I will be needing it again.

Warning about the Tesla Super Charger Station in Charlotte Town, Prince Edward Island -- they charge by time vs. energy -- the only one I've ever seen do this -- cost over $100 Canadian dollars to charge from 10-80%.

I've never seen a Tesla charger bill by time. MANY of them (not just Tesla) charge different rates at different times of day.
With that said, I just looked at at the Charlottetown, PEI SuperCharger on the Tesla app. Sure enough, it charges by time (different rate depending on charge rate). For 100-180 KW (what most of a 10-80% session should be) it is CA$1.35 per minute. Should be around 45 minutes or about CA$59 at Tesla membership price. Without the membership, CA$1.90 per minute or about CA$85. In other words, you would have paid for a monthly membership in that one session.
