I don't know if any of you have seen Kilmer's video, but there is a short piece where he goes into his diagnostic screen and it shows various information that the vehicle stores such as hard braking, acceleration, etc...

Well considering Ford and multiple other auto makers have been involved in court cases where they have been found to be uploading text messages, call logs and entire photo and video albums from connected phones to their telemetry center, I wouldn't be surprised if it's scraping whatever data it can. Could also be camera data from the bluecruise cameras (which are always active).

Theres a reason I personally have my TCU disconnected at all times ??
The XLT doesn't have the power tailgate so I'm going to pull fuse 8

Eventually the insurance company will be buying the data ... Slapface by Regressive :)

I think we need to start referring to our trim level (311 vs 312) as my XLT did include the power tailgait in the 312 package.
Good call! Didn't think of that. Thank you!

For that reason you may need to add a switch to the power lead or just unplug the TCU
