Trying to decide which tires to put on after 2" leveling kit.

Are E rating too heavy and do they kill range? Which PSI do you typically keep them at?

Looking at (including prices for 4 tires):

275/70/18 (worried this size may be a little too small after leveling??)
- Toyo Open Country A/T III EV (44 lbs, load 116) $1340
- Sumitomo Encounter A/T (62 lbs, load E) $684
- General Grabber APT (42 lbs, load 116) $845

285/70/18 (better size but more expensive)
- Nitto Exo Grappler AWT (65 lbs, load E) $1376

I have a 2" level on my XLT and plan on upgrade tires/wheels soon. I'm going with a 20" wheel with 0 offset and the Toyo AT III EV 275/65/20 116H SL

There's been a plethora of members declaring or questioning harshness after installation of E rating tires.

To be fair, there are also many that state they have them installed but do not critique the ride. These may be persons used to 3/4 ton trucks (and above) that are more accustomed to the heavier/stiffer ride.

If you have any up front reservations, I suggest looking at C/115/116/117 ratings. Look at your Tire and Loading Information sticker in driver door area and get the rating minimum information from your OEM tire.

You didn't mention wheels, so assuming you are keeping stock...but if looking for wheels, you also need to maintain the minimum weight/load support for them as well.

Yes let me know what you find out, I also leveled with 2” kit.

Not to concerned with loss of miles, only drive total 10 miles a day.

But to want to maximize less tire wear and have good longevity.

Looking cool is also a truck must!!!

Ideas…?
