Drove around in the snow for 60 to 90 minutes during the early evening into the the sunset with my 2025 Lightning Lariat and the truck handled very well. Maybe 4 to 6 inches fell in the Puget Sound here in the great Pacific Northwest. The driving experience was fun and I drove with confidence as the snow plows went by clearing the roads. The experience was fun and enjoyable. The truck handled very well in slippery snow covered roads. Everyone stay safe out there.

Definitely the most stable truck I've had in slippery conditions. Ice is always a btch and the Lightning is heavier than other 1/2 tons and carries more momentum. The stability of the Lightning can trick you into thinking things are great, then the ice can sneak up on you. Have fun, but make sure when you need to stop, you give the appropriate amount of time to slow the beast down on slick roads.
Drive safe.

Drove mine up to Stevens Pass both Thursday and Friday. The roads were completely covered, and we watched other trucks sliding and going off the shoulder :) I do have good snow tires, which cut down my range by 10-20%, but absolutely love the stability.

Good snow tires make a HUGE difference.

Ok. This is the thread to ask about images of the snow around Puget Sound and Stevens Pass. Thanks.

It’s all melting in the rain now! Yo-yo weather.

I know. I listen to Brad & John on 92.9 on KISM on amazon alexa every morning. Somehow got the app to play on the Lightning. Daughter and Navy son in law live in Marysville and we get there a couple months each year. Next trip in July and then probably October or November to help them move out before their next PCS move.

Up north of Toronto here and I’ve had good experiences in snow with the Lightning as well.

I have found that while I love using the 1-pedal drive, in slippery conditions I turn it off. Hasn’t happened yet but feel I’d lose control of braking a bit. Anyone else have experience with this?

As a side note I can also shuttle around my EV snowblower (and charge it from the truck) which I had to do this winter.

I use 1PD all the time, and find it very stable in the snow. Driving down the pass on steep windy sections, I can just feather it and I find I have full control. The truck will 'let go' and regain control if you give it too much (regen).

Looking forward to taking off my snow tires next week. I love the great traction, but I think it takes 10-20% off the range.

think I may just need more experience. Feel I’m losing control a bit but maybe not. Quiet open road with nobody around one day would help. Mess around and get a better feel for it.
