Interesting. The site mentions keeping the equipment, but software licensing isn't covered. That said, I'd be far *more* excited about the program if it doesn't involve Ford equipment. My F150 is leased, so inter compatible tech is far more appealing.

Since they are going to support the Lightning, Leaf, and now the Kia EV9, it needs to be generic equipment.
In the agreement, this is mentioned: (customer_participation_agreement.pdf)
As part of the Program benefits, Customers in the Commercial and School cohorts will receive a 5- year subscription to TMH ChargePilot software. The subscription period begins when the EVSE has been commissioned and energized. More information on ChargePilot services can be found here: https://www.mobilityhouse.com/usa_en/solutions/chargepilot. For Residential Customers, TMH services will vary based on equipment. Residential Customers will have the option to extend TMH services at the end of the Program Period.
From what the guy said in his first email, a lot of details are still unknown at this point. Likely the charger and services for residential were still undecided when the agreement was written. More will be solidified soon as they start deployment.
I wouldn't mind continuing V2X after the trial, but I wouldn't pay for that :p
(Unless Eversource gives me time of use rates, and I can empty the truck out during the peaks, and charge overnight and make a bit of profit)

Thank you for finding that. I had assumed (perhaps incorrectly) that whatever management software they used to control V2G flow (TMH, in this case) would be independent of charger and run on top of the inverter, because the Ford -> Charger -> Inverter protocols were proprietary, (https://www.f150lightningforum.com/forum/threads/v2h-possible-with-other-equipment.19015/page-4) and thus would require the Sunrun system (https://shop.sunrun.com/products/sunrun-home-integration-system?variant=42574188773445) and the Ford Charge Station. I'm curious to hear from @Danface as he should now have an answer.

The guy who came said the the program will be installing new chargers which will be bidirectional and there's a fair amount of web based configurabilty to setup charging times and creating exceptions for charging times.

We redid the electrical in the house about 2 1/2 years ago so everything is up-to-date so it's likely that the install will be done earlier (Aug - Sept timeframe) since all that will need to be done is install the new charger and make sure it's on the internet.

His final comment was "you will buying power at discouont and selling it at a premium", what's not to like?

The site inspector said all the hardware was purchased and the program financing is already in place.

Even if they don't continue the program, you'll have a nifty new charger that will eligable for the nickel rebate from your provider.

Yes! That's the goal.

My only potential issue is the charger right now is right next to the house (right outside of our dining room window, blocking our view a bit. It was installed in November so we didn't dig too much). And we want to move it 20 feet over. I'd happily pay for the delta in costs. But we'll have to see. I don't want to disqualify myself either.

You may be able to get them to move it and it never hurt to ask :)

Update - B2Q visited yesterday. I also should be set for the aug/sep timeframe, as my install is simple. They said it was the Sunrun Home Integration System they'd be putting in. Maybe he's incorrect, but that would sync with my understanding. Sunrun for us, Wallbox for Kia, Fermata for Nissan.

Did they mention what charger? That Sunrun is specifically for the FCSP. And I for one cannot get mine to connect to my WiFi.. (And @Danface said they would install new chargers.. I was kind of counting on this so we have a model independent charger at the end (vs the Ford which is AC J-1772 with a CSS plug for DC feed to the house, but can't be converted to NACS if we get another EV that has a NACS port))
My appointment is Tuesday the 17th. (With a B2Q electrical engineer, not the original contact from the first email)

This program is open to all EV's not just Ford so it's highly unlikely they'd go that route.

FWIW, I received the invitation email from the program this afternoon. I'm hoping they can do the site inspection this week.

The invite call me "cohort two" so seemingly they've divided the program into at least two tranches.

I got an email from Sunrun asking for the vehicle VIN.
I cannot do the FCSP. I have tried and given up getting that on the WiFi. I hope that doesn't become a showstopper.
