Hi all,
I think I already know what I have to do, which unfortunately is going to be replacing the modem or just getting a dealer flash to see if that fixes it first.
The modem suddenly stopped updating my car. I pulled fuse 32 and undid the neutral. This originally didn't seem to work. When I went to connectivity, I would get the "Please wait" screen that would just disappear. I then ended up factory resetting the whole entire vehicle. . Which did nothing until about 12 hours later, my modem finally connected again. When I hit the Connectivity tab in my settings, it no longer just said "Please wait,."
Now I'm about 48 hours after the fact, and I had to reset my modem again. I'm currently in the waiting period for it to reconnect.
I've seen a few different posts from people running into the issue of having to constantly undo their neutral. I don't really want to have to keep doing that. I still need to go in for my recalled tail light as it is.
I might make this a two-bird, one-stone visit and see if they tell me they just need to do the technical service bulletin flashing, or if they have to replace the modem. In this world, I'm guessing that will be expensive. Unfortunately, I don't have an extended warranty because I drive too much for the cost to ever make sense due to the amount of miles I put on.
Just wanna make sure I'm not missing anything on the free front before I go to the dealer.
