New route-finding application

I put in a route I frequently do, 250 miles, one charge. It suggested a Level 2 charger. Then I realized it didn’t know I was towing. Is there a tow mode where I can enter m/kWh so it can accommodate lower efficiency. Also allow adjustments for tires or wind would be nice.

That's a great idea, we'll definitely add that to the roadmap! Thank you!

It missed several known chargers on routes I selected.

We'd love to look into this for you. If you're comfortable sharing your start and end points and a few chargers you were expecting to see, but didn't, that would be awesome. In case it's helpful, note that the default view shows the top recommendations the algorithm has based on charging speed, number of plugs (more is better), our internal success likelihood score, and a few other things (blogpost on the scoring mechanism coming soon!). It's possible that the chargers you were looking for were in the All Chargers view.

Hi, I'm Dave, one of the founders of roadtripAI. Thanks for reporting this! Would you mind sharing your start and end points for the trip? This is a bug we've been tracking for other users and getting a bigger list of the end points that are causing it will help us knock it out for good.

Shreveport LA to Denver CO.

It suggested a Tesla only supercharger on I-20 east of Dallas TX.

My prompt was something like this: “what is the quickest way to travel from Shreveport, Louisiana to Denver, Colorado in my Ford lightning extended range preferring Electrify America, Pilot Flying J, EVGo, and Mercedes Benz Charging network.”

The interface you show is not the one that comes up on iPad. I did find “all chargers” view. The route was Kingston, NY to Lee, Ma. Prior to setting the all chargers view, it also indicated that I would not need a charge, which would not be true inthe winter with any kind of weather and the heater running.
missing chargers were in Electrify America in Kingston, NY, the New Baltimore Rest Area on NY s Thruway, Stewart’s near 90 between Albany and Lee, a second set of chargers at the Lee Outlet Mall (Mercedes network, open to all and less expensive than Electrify America) and more. All of these chargers are fast chargers and the Kingston Tesla charger is Tesla only.

Thanks for flagging this! I couldn't replicate your issues unfortunately, but we've heard enough confusion/frustration regarding the vehicle selection screen that we overhauled it to (hopefully) make it more robust. Please take another look and let me know if it works better for you now.
