No light on running board, post-delivery

I just noticed my driver's side running board wasn't lighting up like the passenger side. I messed with all the zone lighting options and couldn't make it turn on, so under the truck I went.

I'm not sure if this was a PDI thing, or a manufacturing whoopsie, but an oversight for sure.

The white tape tucked the connector that was not attached on the driver's side out the way, and I found it using the passenger side as reference (it was working fine).

Running board on the left, connector just dangling there. Glad it didn't get snagged by road debris.

Hopefully this is helpful for someone in the future.

It could mean other trims (mine is a Lariat) are plug and play if they didn’t come with the boards?

All I know if you want the light replaced (lens) you have to buy the whole board.

All I know if you want the light replaced (lens) you have to buy the whole board.

All I know is if my lens gets broken, everyone else better be on the look out for me with a plastic trim removal tool.
