Living outside of Boulder and mostly traveling throughout CO and to the west coast I'm happy to hear that the I-70 corridor has greatly improved. I'm excited to see the Ionna open soon in Limon as the $.65/kw at the Flying J in your picture is a bit steep compared to other stations. When that station first went online, ICE cars could been found parked at the stalls blocking access. I've talked about the increased mi/kw rate on my YT channel that I see on I-25 and have almost convinced myself that it's the volume of traffic racing along at 75+m/hr that essentially carries me along for the ride. Thanks. Yeah, that I-70 corridor is especially nice now with those IONNA chargers. It's good to hear that one is coming to Limon. It should give that expensive Pilot GM charger some competition.

Really enjoyed the write up. We started in ‘23 rolling the Mach E to Lake Chelan, Great Falls, Missoula, with only L2’s available at hotels/credit unions in GF!, but we made it work with EAs and got familiar with the Taco Bell stop, cannabis shop, smeltertown, etc. Last trip east was way easier due to Tesla charger acces.

I tend to cruise with the long haulers and going east on I-90 have easily averaged 2.4 at 65+ due to drafting & tailwinds.

I have to laugh. The Ford Nav has the Blue Orb of Optimism. It’s really optimistic and counter balances the very pessimistic Nav estimates. We too stop about every 170 miles or so and that’s far less stressful than coming in at 15% or less. Besides 7 decade old bladders need maintenance too!

Either way, the Lightning is a fab, quiet, very comfortable interstate haulin’ sled.

I have both cybertruck and lightning. I find that CCS charges 10-20 cents more per kwh. my cybertruck can use any Tesla supercharger and has free supercharging for life, also FSD. so I drive the Tesla when traveling.

That difference in charging rates is not my experience, but then again, I have only been through 20 states on EV road trips. Your assertion is probably true somewhere.

Personally, I like having a nicer interior, more usable cabin space, plus a more useful frunk and more functional bed. Plus, in rural eras, the F150 blends right in.

Good for you that you enjoy your Cybertruck. I prefer not having people give me the finger wherever I go.
