Radar Detector With False Laser Warning

Hello,
Any 21 F150 owners with radar detector (front / rear laser feature) having false laser warnings? Issue may be isolated to 21 f150 with eye tracking sensors on dash. I have a Passport Escort 9500i that laser warning just keep going off every couple of minutes. Called Passport, provided options on my f150 and was told warnings are eye tracking sensors related. Not much they can do unless I disable laser feature on detector.

I can confirm this is correct.
You have to disable laser on radar detectors that aren’t new enough to filter that later spectrum. Ive had the escort 9500xi for 5+ years and have used it in a 2009 F150 and 2013 SHO with no issue for a long time.

It took me 5,000 miles of driving my PB with the lane centering and blue cruise prep to figure out it was something my truck was emitting and that was reflecting off large signs and the back 18 wheeler trailers.

I haven’t looked it up yet, but I’m sure they can filter out FCC locked spectrums used by the autonomous vehicles and those features are likely built into escorts new 600.00 dollar radar detector.

I am not turning off laser feature on Passport, I'll turn the volume to very low and deal with it.

This is why I stopped running my old Escort Passport 8500 X50 a few years ago and stuck with Waze. Every Walgreens door and other cars on the road would set it off.

That's nothing new, even happened with newer models too. This is why they create filter feature.

I have a Cobra SPX 7700 that I've had a few years. My truck doesn't have the laser eye tracking. However, any GM SUV (Tahoe, Yukon, Escalade, Acadia, Traverse, etc..) set it off for what I'm assuming is the blind spot monitoring. I get the occasional false alert, but it's actually been a pretty good unit.

LASER on a RD is Useless --if you hear it go off you are toast anyway!!!! Get real laser jammers if you are in an area that has laser!! I can recommend ALP!!

I'm experiencing the false Laser alerts on my Escort Passport 9500i which is about 8 years old. It goes off about every couple of minutes or so even though I've disabled the Laser detection feature. Changing its position using a beanbag mount seems to fix the problem, but I might just get a new detector if I can't find a good spot.

I have the Blue Cruise option in my Platinum, does the eye tracking work all the time or just when Blue Cruise is in use? I haven't received the software OTA update yet so I don't know if it's on or not.

Something reflecting off signs is an interesting idea, my Laser alert goes off when I'm in front of my metal garage door for sure. I'll watch to see if other things might be reflecting it, but I know it goes off when there's nothing in front of me on the road too.

I've been looking at the Uniden R7 detector, it's expensive but what the heck it's Christmas!
