Red ring issue: Tentative fix post #14

Interesting that a failing 12v would sleep the module that feeds it before the telemetrics. Outside of remote diagnostics and theft, would there be any other good reasons for that?

As I understand it, the 12v system prioritizes being able to boot/start the truck over everything else, so as it gets weak it sheds loads not involved with that.

The clue that is was a 12v battery or 12v system issue was that starting the truck made the issue go away and when the truck is started the DC-DC converter is supplying the 12v system from the HVB so it is not relying on only the 12v battery alone.

But why the red ring which indicates a fault? Just an indication that the charging could not start without enough juice (12v battery juice) to run the L2 charging I guess?

A bit strange...
