Specs question - diagonal bed measurement?

Hopping someone with a Lightning can help me out with a quick dimensional question. I'm looking for a diagonal measure across the 5.5' bed, trying to verify what the longest length I might be able to fit in there with the tailgate up.

Between or on top of the wheel wells? How wide and tall is this object?

Between the wheel wells. Primarily thinking skis here - most of mine are longer than the 5.5' bed length, so wanting to confirm what the longest is I can fit in there without needing bed rails/rack/box or anything else sticking out that might reduce efficiency.

Well, Pythagorean therom says your maximum length would be about 6.8 feet. But that is just a straight line with no width.

If nobody else can measure for you, I'll do it when I get home from work.

Tape measure is about 3 1/2 inches, so 86 1/2 inches or 7 ft 2 1/2 inches. That is going corner to corner. Anything wide will be shorter due to the wheel wells.

My 193cm nordic skis fit with no issues along with many other pairs of shorter skis for the rest of the crew. I think anything under 2 meters will be ok... not a lot of 200+ skis out there these days.

Thanks for your help! Glad to know my main skis and powder boards should work. I'll figure out something to do for our once-per-year longboard day shenanigans.
