Hi, I want to pull the trigger on a new Flash, and I need to make sure that it fits the 80-inch high opening in my basement garage. The dealers with the best prices are 70+ miles away, and I can't drive one to my house to test fit. I want to get an accurate measurement, such as using a straight edge across the two black boxes on the cab roof and measuring from the extended straight edge down to a level floor. Can anyone help? The official specs say that the vehicle will fit, but I want to confirm before I commit. Thanks, Bill B

Is there an approach angle to driving into your garage, ie. sloping up/down driveway as you pull over the threshold? This could affect the effective clearance if it is that close already.

The official speck of 77.2" is very close. If your garage is 80" and it's a straight approach it will fit easily.

I've used a parking garage listed at 6'6" (78"). The antennas on the back of the cab bumped the PVC height checker but I knew I was okay because I was parking at an EV charger on the first floor which has higher ceilings. I wouldn't chance it wilth a concrete ceiling.😆

Edit: added a photo to prove I'm not full of 💩

while it's nice to ask, none of us can assure you, even with our own measurements... your entry angle into your garage, and your tires, etc., will all have an impact... drive the 70 miles and measure it. You'll feel better.

Inches are a pretty universal unit of...uh, let me try again...if you live in the United States, Liberia, or Myanmar, inches are a pretty universal unit of measurement.

That's not what he was getting at. If the truck approaches the opening while descending an incline the effective height will be different.

That's been mentioned. Driving 70 miles and measuring the truck in person isn't going to clear that issue up at all.

Unless you're going to measure the approach angle (if there is one) and do some math, yes, you're right. OP would be better off working out a deal with the dealer to allow an overnight test drive. Mine allowed me to do that.

Anyone else here in the Athens, GA area that wants to go see if their truck fits in OP's garage?

Barring anything else, might just have to visit a closer dealer, take a test drive, and then ghost 'em if their pricing sucks.
