Sync Update / FDRS Help

Purchased a 2 day FDRS pass and Mongoose to get the latest SW interface and PAAK. Did all the modules last night and did not have any issues, however I still do not have the interface . Some updates did go through as it looks like I am on 4.0.22294 and I know have PAAK.

Only visible issue I see is the CMR (CMDTc detected; whatever this means) and the DSP module will not update. (did this several times).

T/S I have down:
1- restarted PC as well as FDRS several times
2- rescanned
3- Reran several modules

Any suggestions? Only one more day of my 2 day lisc key left.

Uninstall and reinstall FDRS? You may need to unregister your license so you can re-register it. I'm not sure on that part but mainly you want to clear all the cache

Uninstall and reinstall FDRS? You may need to unregister your license so you can re-register it. I'm not sure on that part but mainly you want to clear all the cache

Will I have to re pay again?

I mean I did get PAAK working and up in the 4.0's so I guess that is a win right?......if I can just get the new screen!!

Have you tried rebooting the screen or rebooting the truck?

I’m same boat with the DTC on CMR module. References something about driver side led. Everything seems to function fine. I did find other errors resolved after pushing the as built back to the truck from forscan.

Disconnect the 12 V battery for about 10 minutes. Read up on what to do when the frunk won't close ;)

The CMR DTC can be cleared using the "Clear and retest" button (after you've already chosen "View CMDTCs" first.

The DSP update package is not clearing off the available software list for anybody. I did it yesterday and even after "Rerunning the network test" (button on the toolbox menu) it didn't clear. Neither did shutting down FDRS and then re-launching (which has been known to do the trick). So this is a lot like the TRM module the F-150 folks had problems with a while ago. It just stayed in the list. If you've run it already and it was successful, don't keep re-running it. Just ignore it.

Instead of uninstalling FDRS to clear out what you might think is bad data, you can instead do it another way.

You can click on the envelope (support request) at the top right of the FDRS screen and when the dialog comes up you can refresh all the files for the vehicle you're working on.

Oh, and on Lightnings...after you've been doing updates...yeah the frunk has to be closed manually just once. After that the buttons will work again. It's because when you're doing programming the interruption of comms between modules causes a "blackout" and after manually closing the frunk and it latches everything will go back to normal. I've never seen that written down anywhere, that's just the way it works.

If you were going to actually remove and reinstall FDRS you'd want to first go to "License Management" and select "Return License" before uninstalling. Then after either moving to a different laptop or reinstalling on the same laptop you'd load the license back in at setup. Don't uninstall before returning the license!

On the Sync update issue....

You might try reading the gateway config first and then re-running the network test button after that to see if that brings anything up on the list.

First go to the toolbox screen and find and select the GWM, and then that filters the tools in the right side panel from which you select the "Read the Gateway Module A (GWM) Configuration Data" tool. Select Download and then Run.

And then after that finishes you'd click the "Rerun the Network Test" button to see if that brings up anything new (GWM, APIM, hopefully).
