I was frustrated to see that the soft button for the turning on of the bed lights has already been torn. Considering nothing has been in my truck bed in that area, I can't imagine what caused the tear. Are things like this covered under warranty?

With the tear on the top of the switch, I imagine water has already found its way into the mechanics of the switch and will ultimately cause its failure.

Word the dealer can say is no. Might as well ask them. I'd personally make a list of small things to go over when taking it in for service or a larger issue.

I'd think they're using the same part as the ice truck so maybe search around and see if there's other on that side that have had a similar issue.

Something must have hit it. It is the same part, my old f150 had it and no problems. However, I had/have a drop in liner that sort of protects that area.

Hi there, I'd be happy to look into your Lightning concerns on my end. Will you send us a message with your VIN and dealership info? I can look into things on my end.
