Paint the rusted axles to protect them from corrosion, fabricate light weight covers like splash covers at the rear corners under the tail light assembly’s and other places to protect from road debris, mud, dirt, rocks, and such. If you look under the truck near the spare tire mount you can see how exposed the rear corners are. The material for this could be made with the same material as the wheel well covers. I was also inspecting the 12 volt battery compartment and it was covered in dirt and dust. Looked filthy. Fabricate some protection for that compartment too. The grill appearance is not the most handsome in the truck industry. I like the appearance GMC Front EV grill. Something similar maybe. The motorized rotary gear shift conversion needs standardized, I was reading all the threads and there was so many posts on which rotary to get and see if you get error codes, then report back, now I don’t know which one to get. But the rotary shifter conversion for the 2025 lightning is a great Idea. Standardize the method for trickle charging the 12 volt battery so it lasts longer. I‘m in my golden years, considered golden age & the infotainment center is complicated to use, and can be dangerous to navigate all the functions when traveling, when all I want to do is adjust all the settings that physical knobs, switches, buttons use to do. We all want improved range, charging & longevity of our electric batteries with environmentally conscious options for rebuilding, replacing and disposal. That’s enough rambling for this golden age man. I hope we all inspire each other in the spirit of modding and improving our F150 lightnings. Here’s to all the great thinkers and developers of this forum to discover ways to improve & modify our electric trucks.

Looking forward to the series! In seperate news; did you see Fox are dropping Live Valve shocks for the F-150? 😅 https://ridefox.com/collections/f-150-live-valve-shocks
Nice shocks! We're thinking something similar but working with another company trying to get them to come on board and it's looking more promising. Would love to work with Fox but haven't heard back from them after several attempts at product-for-sponsorship. Total crickets. Guess they're getting to big for their own britches :headbang:

this kind of idea is great. i did post and made a couple of notes like

1. front bumper replacement options that are steel. i like nice round curved front bumper that doesnt have any sharp angles. something that you can install a winch and additional lighting like fog lights

2. folks like me that that don't have an elocker. is there any forscan programming that allows to turn that on\off or even an aftermarket manual lockers

3. lift kits. would love more affordable options for lift kits (i know ev are heavy)...but also if you are going bigger on the lift kit, what options do we have to upgrade the rear lower arms are HUGE. wondering what other options are there

4. some type of aftermarket generator (in bed )to charge truck. No different then jeep offroaders carrying extra containers of gas

5. installing retractable running boards for offroad clearance

6. definately more robust undercarriage protection. things that cover up the connectors and wiring that he has posted in the past videos. there are open sections in the front half of the truck that you can see orange connectors. dirt, mud, sand, snow can easily get in there

7. would love to see if there is a mount to install inside the truck that you can setup a tablet and connect it to car app scanner and monitor live data like coolant temp, power to front and rear axle, battery info as well as numbers to how much

You might get in touch with @Martin Rebuilds (Martin Meeks) or @ZSC100 and see if they would supply you with early release of the EverDrive on board charging system they are developing.

Love this!
Well, all but the elocker are already on the wish list!
Thanks for letting me know I'm on track!
The hang-up to the series, and the reason I delayed it until now was how many fabricators and aftermarket providers suddenly bailed when Ford cancelled the Lightning. It's now reminding them all of the pent-up demand for such builds, and the fact that there are more Lightnings on the road than many of the other brands and older models they produce for already.
At soem point, I might have to put pre-order/buyer intent lists together to convince some of these companies there's a strong market for them.
We're moving ahead willy nilly. But the kicker is making it all affordable - and available as I move the series along. One-offs, or custom builds doesn;t help most folk.
