When I bought my 2007 F-150 brand new, I was told that with the paint being so new, the "paint needs time to cure" before I can apply wax to the finish. This was almost 20 years ago and I'm not sure if things are different now as I haven't heard of this since then. Is there a break-in period before we can wax our finishes or was that just an old wise tale? I don't have my lightning yet but I do want to keep my paint's finish protected at all times.
