A lot of truth in the article - a few things wrong - the $7,500 EV tax credit preceded Biden, I know because I got one for my 2012 Nissan Leaf bought in 2011 (I didn't get the full amount, there was an income cap/test):

"The first federal EV tax credit went into effect on October 3, 2008, when President George W. Bush signed legislation establishing a credit of up to $3,400. This was later expanded to the familiar $7,500 credit in 2009, which was eventually phased out completely for purchases made after September 30, 2025."

Nothing we probably already didn't know in the article.

The death of the EV has been a topic since they were first sold.

As Samuel Clemens (Mark Twain) once quipped: "The report of my death was an exaggeration."
The full story was (if the source is reliable):

While living in London in 1897, Twain discovered that the New York Herald had published a piece claiming he was grievously ill, dying, and destitute. In reality, his cousin, Dr. James Ross Clemens, was the one who was severely ill, leading to a mix-up. When a reporter for the New York Journal asked Twain to confirm his demise, the author issued his famous, wry retraction

"I can understand perfectly how the report of my illness got about, I have even heard on good authority that I was dead. The report of my illness grew out of his illness. The report of my death was an exaggeration."

EV just make sense, so the US EV makers will survive.

They probably did their research on steam cars, and the demise of Stanley Steam Vehicles and others. But Mr. Olds was a pioneer and pushed ahead with ⛽😆
