The car used was a Mustang Mach-E AND they had climate controls on the screen.

Foreshadowing potential integration with SYNC? Can we be that lucky?!

Pretty sure that was a regular mustang and the climate controls you saw are part of the SYNC interface. the second car they showed was an Aston Martin that has carplay ultra.

OK, you were right about the first part - ICE Mustang.

The second part, however... This looks like part of CarPlay, not SYNC. Am I wrong?

That climate widget could be for the person's home, too...

The climate icon in CarPlay Ultra (in this post) matches the one in the widget for regular CarPlay (in the previous post).

As much as I'd love to have CarPlay Ultra, that climate icon in your first screenshot is the HomeKit climate icon.

Apple has standard icons for design continuity, so the second screenshot is CarPlay Ultra (like you said). The first icon is just showing HomeKit control for current climate conditions inside your home.

There's no way CarPlay Ultra will be backwards compatible.
