Yeah I don’t level trucks. I really dislike the look. If a guy does a level wouldn’t that require a longer or different arm for the sensor for the lights on the front or is there not a sensor in the front? If you put a 2" level on the beam is way too high.
I’ve always liked the rake. And then when you have a load or a trailer it levels out nicely. I guess I figure the engineers put the rake there for a reason. For the most part I’m a stock kinda guy. Aside from tinting and stuff I buy a truck based on how it looks stock and then make a few tasteful changes. I’m going to have to look at my 23 lariat. I’m pretty sure I’ve seen a sensor in the rear but I’ve not looked in the front for one.I think that only the 22s had sensors. Parts shortages took that system off all the other trucks.
You dislike the look? Seriously? The factory rake on these trucks is ridiculous.
factory rake
You'll never stop people from wrecking the engineering over perceived looks.engineers put the rake there for a reason.
I felt the same.I like A rake, but man, the amount on my Pro is absurd.
I use my truck as a truck and prefer to have the rake to account for loads in the box or trailering. What do you mean "wrecking the engineering"?
Hey, question for you: I understand the Bilsteins are adjustable. Do you know if they go both up and down, and by how much? Is a leveling puck still used?I will be putting bilstein 5100s on my truck
Yes, there is a reason that vehicles are designed the way they are. Suspension geometry is important. When you modify a vehicle because you think it looks good then it's vanity. We've all done it at some point."wrecking" the engineering,
Well shit! Went out and looked on the front right I found this plug. I have a feeling this is for front level sensor. Me being the stock nerd that I am now will have to look into this further. My truck only had one deletion and that was the advanced security pack which I have since added back in for a whopping $38. lol.I think that only the 22s had sensors. From your profile it looks like we have the same truck... can you share the part you ordered to get back the deleted features and if you find this is the leveling connection for the lights the part you install to get them back?Well shit! Let me get the part numbers together. I added the security back and added back the lighted cup holders. Both were pretty easy to do. And do me a favor and send me a dm so I don’t forget. I’m working on that front plug but I do get scatterbrained and might forget. lol. From your profile it looks like we have the same truck... can you share the part you ordered to get back the deleted features and if you find this is the leveling connection for the lights the part you install to get them back?
I wasnt even aware of the auto-level headlights...the suspension shop today went to show me where these tie into the UAC (upper-control arm) sensor and that they "use the auto-level headlights" and of course I don't have them. They had just done a '24 Platinum that did have them.Let me get the part numbers together. I added the security back and added back the lighted cup holders. Both were pretty easy to do.
