How dirty should the 12v battery area get?

Just picked up a 2023 Lariat from Carvana. The 12v battery is filthy. Is this normal or of concern?

I use a battery powered leaf blower to blow the dust out every so often.

Long story short, no, not really an issue. I use a blower and a rag to clean mine.

Yes, so far it’s great. Inspection is tomorrow. I only got one key though so that’s unfortunate

Better check what it cost to make a working key and fob. From what I remember you need 2 working fobs to duplicate a fob. 1 requires a dealer or someone with a programmer.
Have Carvana get 2 made as they should be able to get a much better price than you.

2nd key fob can be purchased online for less than $100. It would need to be programmed by either a dealer or locksmith with proper computer tools. The hatd key would also need to be cut by someone with proper equipment.
