As noted above, I had GPS Ford Nav location problem intermittently since 2023 with Jesse pointing out that I had too few satellites showing
Belated updates: Last September, 2025, got truck back from 25s18 HV battery module recall, had 3 replaced, and Tech did something that made the GPS, Ford Nav, work properly with a smooth running location arrow, no shaking like before. Jesse had suggested the antenna which I had tried to pass on to the Service, but I ended up with no information on what they did to fix it.
Now, since July 2025, the Ford Nav is flaky again, breadcrumbs & shaky location arrow into the ocean, and I have called the dealer to check what they did to fix it last time and schedule an appointment, hopefully the mobile van. Will need to go into Bezel Diagnostics screens to look at satellite reception again and see if I am getting 10 or, properly, 30 like Jesse pointed out. Wish me luck with the dealer tech who is thinking APIM update. I wonder if a loose connection could do this? I think I remember someone having a problem with antenna cabling that was pinched or too tight in a corner near the A pillar.
Interesting that Android Auto Waze mapping seems to continue to work when Google mapping and Ford mapping are not working.
