amazon has used ones for sale from them.

diving deeper last night, it appears its a generic format as many brands on amazon sell the exact same integrated system. looks the same too. I wonder if its the same backend company. I was originally weary of going non fitcamx as it seemed to be the "name brand" of this style

I guess I need to check mine. Had it installed for about two months now. Havent had the need to check any feeds, but will do that once its back from the shop. Alignment needed after installing eibach's

So far so good on mine (from back in '23). These sorts of things are best purchased through Amazon, and/or with a credit card, so that you have options for returning the thing and/or getting your money back.

Yep I’d have to agree. If I’d of ordered directly from Amazon I could have saved myself an afternoon of nonsense and 30 bucks. I’m still stewing over this.

So far my fitcamx has been working fine (front and year) for over a year now and hopefully I didn’t just jinx myself.

Same on mine. I like the look, works fine. I had an issue with connecting to the WiFi from my iPhone, but it is an iPhone issue.

What I found on mine is the connector they are using for the plug at the mirror is very poor quality and will bend the pins.

When I first bought mine in 2022, it worked fine for a few months, then died. I emailed customer service and they sent me a new one, they didn't even want me to ship out the defective one. After about a year, I opted to get the one with the front and rear camera, so I purchased it and it's been running great. You may have just got a faulty one.

I have used BlackVue for the last 12 years and they’ve been great! I now have a 970X installed in the truck which has been super solid.

I also purchased a Fitcam adapter hoping to draw power from the mirror of my Lightning. Unfortunately no dice, the display on the adapter will only show 5V. I returned and ordered a second adapter with the same result. I’m not sure if this is specific to the 2025 Flash or if it’s Lightnings in general but the Fitcam adapter doesn’t seem to be compatible.

Ditto to what MountainAlive said. I have had my FitCamX for a couple years now, and it actually came in handy when a college age driver decided to use my front fender to perform a pit manuever on his vehicle. I showed the cop the video, and the other dude got the ticket. Also sent the video to my insurance just in case somebody got sue happy.

It paid for itself right then and there. Silly easy to install, maybe 15 minutes. Hardest part was tucking the wire around the edge of the headliner for the rear camera. Looks OEM. But I didn't need customer support, so I can't speak to that.

This...it would suck when you have an issue to find it stopped working.

Get a prepaid cc and dump whatever amount on it you need for a purchase. No credit checks, no annual fees, it just works when you need it.

Does it have the same protections that a "regular" CC has?

Yes mine was not working when I went to see video after a barrier arm incident at a car wash…
It just does not instill 100% confidence but yet I still use it…. SMH

I did this on my AMEX but still after the bonus year warranty expired…no help after the extra year passed. I have had my camera over 2 years now…
For sure I would have bought an extra 3-5 year extended warranty if I was buying again... and I’m not normally a buy extended warranty kinda person either lol. Guess I can always buy another camera…
