Hello Folks,
Having an issue with my 2022 Lariat ER, about a month ago, I believe right after an OTA update, my front parking sensors started to displaying an error message. I looked and saw there was a recall for exactly the front sensors, so I called the dealer and scheduled an appointment two weeks down the road (first available). Long story short, they kept my truck for almost the whole week, on the second day, they gave me the truck back supposedly with the problem resolved.
I drove two blocks and returned with the same problem, fast forward to last Thursday, after back and forth conversations with Ford engineering they again delivered me the truck, again supposedly fixed.
This time, I didn't even left their parking lot, the fault showed up as soon as I moved the truck.
Reading thru the dealer reports, I can clearly see the technician was very doubtful of his findings... I kept the truck, because it was at the end of the day and they were all gone, called next day and am coming back to leave the truck for further troubleshooting and hopefully a fix, in two weeks when I'm going away and can leave the truck there.
I've attached the dealer's report here, if any of you would like to take a peak and also a photo of the dash warning.
Would love to hear if someone also had the same problem and what was the remedy... Thanks in advance for your help
Cheers, (What a beautiful weekend we're having up here, hopefully everyone is enjoying it...)

I can't help with the resolution of your problem, but maybe I can assist with avoidance for others. A few months ago I took my Lightning to the dealership for the second replacement of the rear light bar. When I pointed out that the Front Parking Sensor CSP was open, the Service Advisor recommended, "If it isn't broke, don't fix it." He said they had issues with the CSP and recommended not doing it. I took him at his word.

I'm now having this issue every time I put it in reverse, same errors. I have the Front Parking CSP available as well, and yes there are a lot of reports in other threads about what can happen with that. It's been a few months since that came out so it may be better now, hard to say.

I think I'm about to take it in now also, seems like there is truly an issue, maybe with a wire harness?

I have no issue with the front but I have had the rear parking sensors stop working a few times. As I have to back into my garage I really need those working. I'll probably make an appointment to get it looked at.

I was having issues with the rear sensors but after doing the CSP for the front, my issues have reduced.

Just an update on my sensor issue. I was away for two weeks and left the truck at the dealer. They finally were able to pin point the issue to a faulty sensor, which was replaced under the warranty and it seams the problem is resolved.
I also asked the tech to implement the software with the walk away lock feature and the newest blue cruise with lane change capabilities, but was disappointed to hear my truck is not compatible with those software because of its age, it’s a 2022 Lariat ER.
Would be nice to hear your comments on that as well.
TIA

Great that you got the sensor replaced. But sounds to me like they don't know what they are talking about re: BC and walk away lock. The 22's are eligible for BC 1.4, but I guess maybe they thought your meant 1.5 which I believe is incompatible.

Oh! Thanks for chiming in. I’m going to bring that to their attention.
Do you know anything about the lock away feature?
Thanks. 🙏

Eh, might just wanna try another dealer. With vehicles, if I find someone doesn’t know what they’re doing or feel confident in doing it, best to find someone who does.

Hi all, My turn; I'm getting the parking sensor fault when I switch to drive... 2023 Lariat, ER 51,000 KM. I'm still under warranty, so I will bring it in... But my question is... I hooked up both BlueDriver and CarScanner, but neither is showing me anything about this error/fault. Or perhaps I'm not looking in the right place? Is there a better OBD2 scanner that I should be using? Thoughts? My VIN is 1FT6W1EV0PWG12158 if anyone has time to Forscan it? Tks in advance.. M.

Were you still under the 3 year bumper-to-bumper warranty to have it covered?

I also had a sensor fail last fall that I had to pay out of pocket, and now I'm getting the parking sensor fault yet again. I haven't taken it in yet, but it was expensive enough the first time just to replace one little sensor.

Hi, yes, my 3-year bumper-to-bumper warranty expires at the end of May 2026. So hopefully I'm covered, this time.... Cheers, Mike

Did they end up covering it?

Hi, "yes" they did, looks like it was a bigger issue than I thought... Surprising that a drive down from the ski hill on a slushy day would cause all this..... Cheers, Mike

Similar problem for me on a '22 Lightning Lariat. I was able to see DTCs B129D-96 and B129D-08 using BlueDriver. The description of the codes in BlueDriver didn't seem to match the problem. Google searching the codes seemed to indicate a problem with the front camera (B129D-96) and the rear inner parking sensor ( B129D-08) but the camera was working fine. By listening/feeling the parking sensors with the truck in reverse, it turned out all were working fine EXCEPT the front right which I replaced. Problem solved. My takeaway is that it was hard to correlate the code with the location of the bad sensor and the other code was somewhat of a red herring. Hope that helps.
